This little doll is names after Anna Pavlova. Anna was born in 1881 and and was fell in love with ballet when her mother took her to see the original production of Sleeping Beauty in 1890. After seeing the performance Anna joined the Imperial Ballet School in Russia at the age of 10. Anna is most famour for creating the role of The Dying Swan in 1905, a role that was the inspiration for the modern day roles of Odette and Odile in Swan Lake. She was the first ballerina to tour the world and performed her famous role over 4,000 times!
