Polina Ballerina Plush 15in

This little doll is named after Polina Semionova, a Russian ballet dancer who was a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre and the Berlin State Ballet. As a child she attended the Boshi Ballet School with her brother, Dmitry who is now a principal dancer with Staatsballett in Berlin. At just 18 years old she joined the Berlin State Ballet as a principal dancer at just 18 years old! She was the youngest principal dancer in the history of the company. She performed the lead role in ballets such as The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. in 2012 she moved to New York City and became a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. In 2017 Polina returned to Russia wherer she is now a professor at the Berlin State Ballet School.
